There was a tweet (I forget who from) around 2022 that read "I suspect Brands slow move to the right is so that when the accusations come out he can call it a witch hunt". Less than a year later the accusations came out, and he called it a witch hunt

He grew up in the same town as me, though a year younger. He was never in my friend group, but some of my friends knew him before he became famous. None of them had anything good to say about him, and I never doubted the accusations about him were true.
