Unfortunately the most important tool in my arsenal these days is reading glasses.

My favorite hobby item is a spouse that looks over your shoulder and reminds you that you're a nerd the whole time you spend 4 hours painting till midnight.

I don't know how I would be able to paint without it

I just checked out the description to see if there was any discounts for the stuff you have recommended and saw the affiliate link with the proceeds going to Karl Kopinksi for his stroke recovery. You are truely awesome! Going well above and beyond just creating great content for the hobby.

The most valuable and helpful painting aid is a life partner, who paints next to you and who gets excited about playing the games for which you paint the miniatures for. Can't overstate how much more painting I have done since she has kept my motivation high and has made painting less antisocial.

As a dinosaur who does not use a wet palette, uses cheap brushes that barely get me by and really should broaden their horizons, thank you for making this video!

I'd always recommend a wet palette to someone starting out simply because it's enormously useful for teaching you the correct consistency to thin your paint to. The fact it also keeps your paint wet for days at a time (and so saves a fortune) is a big bonus for beginners, simply because they don't have the vast, intervention-worthy horde of paint that the rest of us have built up over the years

OK, I am jealous of that store with all the paints. I don't think we have anything like that in the entire state

Oh no not the Godhand Zealots coming for you! lol. I've been building Gunpla for over 20 years, and got Godhand's maybe a decade ago. Then 5 years ago I got into Warhammer. The plastics, while different, the SPN 120's single blade has no problem cutting the pieces off of the sprues, I've used them plenty of times. Warhammer sprues are a much softer plastic compared to gunpla so its very forgiving even with thicker cuts. I use the GH-PN 120's as they are a bit stronger as I do a lot of cutting for kitbashes and terrain builds as well. I cut up the gates quite often because they leave such a clean cut when I need some easy rubble for bases. I've even used mine on GW's failcast models before too. The GH-PN 120's are my bread and butter, I use them across all my plastic model hobbies. If you still want the precision and feel of Godhand's, I would recommend a pair of GH-PN 120's then for peace of mind.

One nice thing I’ll say about the Citadel mold line remover is I can hand it to my daughter when she wants to help and it allows me to let her do more on her own since she wants to do things herself without help.
