you keep mentioning that this isn't a huge change for the space, but i truly think it is completely transformed!! i like seeing these types of makeovers as well:) dont be so hard on yourselves!

The original framer of the painting did the art so dirty. I thought it was a cheap print on the wall. Makes me happy you put so much effort into fixing it - it is a huge improvement!

I love that this is the kind of makeover that feels manageable for someone with a 9-5 to complete over a few nights and a weekend! It shows that sometimes the whole room isn’t the problem, it’s just tweaking the context to make the space feel more styled and intentional.

As an artist, im very pleased with the attention you put in the presentation of a great painting. It can really make such a big difference, and I think you were spot on with your decision!

The space fits the person, I don't know how to put it but her reaction makes me feel like it's exactly done for her. The art piece was bold but it paid off

i loved how you managed to maintain their style by focusing on adding texture and shape.  and i’m really impressed with the deliberate, limited use of colour; it’s both muted yet bold and doesn’t overwhelm the space.  and how overall how you’ve  kept a minimalist sleek style that feels warm and inviting.  it looks so high end

I need you to know I am loving loving these room makeovers and mini makeovers so much!! I saw some commenters over on Instagram complaining about a dip in sustainability/that not EVERY single thing is thrifted or handmade but literally come onnnn. I do not care whatsoever that some items are purchased new and I think that is so much more realistic for the vast majority of people trying to decorate their spaces. You’re still very much thrifting and diy-ing the majority of stuff which we looove! Decorating your space is gonna be inherently consumerist pretty much no matter what so like you just can’t win with some people. Anyway. I love this format so much. Scrumptious. Xoxo

I've been a silent viewer and supporter since the days when Kelsey lived in the loft apartment in the office and normally don't comment much. I love your content so much, but I was so surprised to see the Meta glasses/AI sponsored post as that doesn't really align with what I thought your values were. I'm glad it was taken down, but really want to hear something about it. Even just a "hey based on viewer responses, we realize this didn't align with our views" would be enough. I want to continue to support TSG!

I think the olive green frame competes with the painting a bit. My eye goes to the frame first. I would have loved to see a dark walnut frame with a dark inner liner instead. The dark liner would blend into the background of the painting, and the walnut would bring out the warm tones in the fruit and flowers without taking attention away from them.

You managed to insert a lot of vibrancy and personality into what was a kind of bland and boring space. Love it!
