  People underestimate the impact of this. Even the title of this video suggests this is a Europe problem. It&apos;s a worldwide issue. The Gulf of Mexico will lose its heatsink. Waters will continue to warm, causing more severe weather and warmer temperatures in surrounding countries and states. Jet streams could change dramatically because of the temperature changes. Causing severe storms over Europe and North America, while in the Southern Hemisphere it could alter the Walker circulation, causing Pacific waters to be warmer. Like a permanent El Niño state.<br>Shifting rainbelts could cause the Amazon forest to receive less rain, causing it to collapse. Antarctic ice could melt faster, causing accelerated climate change. Extreme weather across the globe, extreme floods across the globe, ...<br>But the real issue would be the disruption of food and water. We would likely see massive famines due to changing weather systems causing failed harvests. You think migration is an issue now? Billions of people would have to relocate because of desertification and lack of food.<br><br>These are all possibilities; we don&apos;t know exactly what will happen, but it&apos;s not a &quot;Europe will cool down and that&apos;s about it&quot; scenario.<br>Look at it as if the AMOC were a gear wheel in a watch. When that gear breaks, the watch stops working.

  I used to get annoyed that RLL never pronounces the c in arctic but now in this era of AI slop, I&apos;m just happy to be reminded I&apos;m listening to a real human voice.
