I drove the Stelvio solo in Sept. 2025. Rented an Audi in Bologna. GPS took me across 400 km of autostrada and through unknown country. Stayed overnight nearby. Drove the Stelvio 8 am. Almost no traffic. Crazy Belgians on huge motorbikes. They dropped them on the corners due to angle and low speed. One of my greatest drives ever.  At the pass feasted on wurst and coffee. Looped back to Milan. Then train to Bologna. Highly recommended. 🎉The Stelvio is second highest alpine motor pass in Europe.

Really breathtaking👍- the majestic mountains, and the road itself (must be rather thrilling to share it with all the bikes and motorbikes 😅... ) The colors look great on TV 👍💙🌤💚 !

My wife and I did this trip on May 23, 2017, two days after the roads had opened for the season.  Many feet of snow still along the roadsides at the higher elevations.  We noted that each of the switchbacks (around 36 on each side of the pass) are numbered, I presume to help rescuers locate the victims.  The views from the top are astonishing - one of the great road trips in the world.

A route/climb I know from watching the Giro D'italia. Nice to see what the view is like to see going up.

Drove stelvio back in 2023, in start of september, no traffic, no cyclists, no nothing, it was amazing

Great video. I drove it today. Lovely experience! But I like Passo della Spluga more.
