  I remember when Mega64 did joke videos about how the Cabela hunting games kept getting fucked over by other big game releases and thought to myself &quot;Hah okay, random but funny&quot;, but ever since learning what these games are all about the past few months...<br><br>Cabela got robbed at the game awards.

  Even Doomguy had to take a moment inbetween super shotgun blasts to reload, meanwhile Mr. Hunty McHunterson over here is apperantly belt-feeding his double-barrel for extreme RPM.

  The thing is, Cabela&apos;s is primarily a company that, among other things, sells gear for hunting real animals with, and would probably prefer you do that. There were earlier games, they didn&apos;t do so well, but not <i>terribly</i> either. And so I think the games department ended up as something Cabela&apos;s was not really paying attention to anymore.<br><br>And, absent any real directive to make a game that resembles Real Hunting anymore, the games department said &quot;wait, hold on, can we-&quot; and then produced a lunatic psychodrama rail shooter of glorious scope. Imagine their joy when that seemed to do <i>better.</i>
