Tổ Tiên Người Việt Thực Sự Là Ai? BÁCH VIỆT ĐÃ ĐI ĐÂU?

Who Were the True Ancestors of the Vietnamese People? WHERE DID THE BACH VIET GO? Welcome to Vietnamese History — a history podcast channel for those who love their roots and want to explore the mysteries of a thousand years. Over 2,000 years ago, in the land south of the Yangtze River, there was a large, powerful ethnic group with a rice-farming civilization older than the Han Chinese. They were called the Bach Viet — our ancestors. But then, in less than a thousand years, nearly 90% of the Bach Viet people completely disappeared from the map of history. Not because of simple war. Not because of natural disasters. But because of a systematic, sophisticated, and ruthless cultural genocide that no one realized until it was too late. INTRODUCTION TO THE MAIN CHARACTERS IN THE STORY: Goujian (句踐, ?–465 BC) — King of Yue, famous for his vengeful spirit of "lying on thorns and tasting gall" after his defeat by the State of Wu in 494 BC. He ruled from approximately 496 BC to 465 BC, finally destroying the State of Wu in 473 BC and becoming the hegemon of the late Spring and Autumn period. Fuchai (夫差, ?–473 BC) — King of Wu, son of Helu, defeated Goujian in 494 BC but was later seduced by Xi Shi and Goujian sought revenge. He committed suicide in 473 BC when the State of Wu was destroyed. - Xi Shi — One of the Four Great Beauties of ancient China, from Zhejiang province. She was sent to Fuchai by strategists Fan Li and Wen Zhong as a honeytrap to weaken the state of Wu from within. Fan Li — A brilliant strategist of Goujian, who planned the entire strategy for restoring the state. After conquering Wu, he resigned from his position and went into seclusion, worshipped by the people as a god of wealth. Qin Shi Huang (259–210 BC) — Ying Zheng, who unified China in 221 BC and immediately launched a southern campaign to conquer the Baiyue people with 500,000 troops starting in 219 BC. Tu Shu — A general of Qin Shi Huang who commanded the first southern campaign. He was ambushed and killed by the combined forces of Xi'au and Lac Viet in a guerrilla battle in the South. Thục Phán — An Dương Vương (?–179 BC) — Leader of Âu Việt, defeated the 18th Hùng Vương, unified Âu Việt and Lạc Việt into the Âu Lạc kingdom, and built the Cổ Loa citadel. He was the first king of a unified Vietnamese state in history. REFERENCES: Records of the Grand Historian (史記) — Sima Qian, compiled around 109–91 BC.
