  The leaves of most berries are medicinal and can easily be added to yourr tea.

  Amen to everything Dr. Jeff mentions! I am a retired doc in Santa Rosa and I would add here in zone 9b growing cactus (for the pads and fruit), olives, pomengranate and jujube are all fantastic for health. &nbsp;I am trying medlars and chayote this year. &nbsp;I&apos;ve run out of space for more, esp since for wildfire landscaping nothing recommended within five feet off edge of roof gutters. &nbsp;The world&apos;s longest living people share the hobby of gardening, not being gym rats.

  I love the adventurous spirit in growing that Dr. Jeff is showing us! &nbsp; I have been ultra adventurous in my PNW home in Oregon as well... here in the Willamette valley I have grown many things that are not likely found such as Olive trees, Moringa, Banana, Mango and more...also Citrus that have to be protected in Winter, but nevertheless it&apos;s exciting when I have been able to try these plants... My latest healthy berry is the Elderberry, and I studied the different varieties that are used for medicine, and they are doing very well. &nbsp; I have sourced seeds from Mexico as I go there often and enjoy different types of beans and peas Thank you so much Dr. Jeff for sharing your ideas and stories for health!
