  Come on now: the Galactic Empire were the GOOD GUYS, at least in theory. They were ostensibly an Empire of Humanity, uniting all Homo Sapiens under one banner. We know from the various movies, books, and games, however, that Palpatine didn't really give a darn about humanity. In reality it was just a dark-side magocracy, a cult of two men.

  Fun fact: Mark Hamill is the actor of Luke skywalker who defeated the galactic empire, but at the same time he plays fire lord Ozai who is the main villain in ATLA
