Just want to give Seth, Bill, Jon, and all the other guests a heartfelt thank you for everything you guys have done over the past couple years. I've never come across anything near the level of detail and respect you gentleman give to this topic that I'm so interested in and humbled by. Will be sad when it's over and I wish you all the best for whatever comes next. Thank you so much for all the work you have put in on this project 🙏

Victor David Hanson, an American academic and historian, told a gathering the other day about his father at the end of World WW2 in the Pacific. His father flew 40 B-29 bombing missions over Japan. When the Japanese surrendered, they flew into the Tokoyo air base and landed without incident. When they exited their aircraft, they were met by waving Japanese people presenting them with flowers. His father and his crew were flabbergasted. When you consider the vicious and battles that ranged in the Pacific on both land sea, and air it is a blessing from God that our occupation went as well as it did. Another great one, guys.

I’m a grown man in my sixties but I’m not ashamed to admit that the part of the episode about General Wainwight brought me to tears. Thank you gentlemen for telling it the way it really was. Great job!

My father served on USS Missouri and was present at the surrender ceremony, I remember him telling me of his vivid memories of that day. He was only 19 at the time. In particular he told me of the flyover of the planes at the end of the ceremony, He said it was tremendously awe inspiring.
