  Dawg. The reason why they didn’t run at first, is because when you see something fucking terrifying, your brain doesn’t have enough time to fully comprehend what that thing is, it’s like being paralyzed, or sleep paralysis.

  The people bitching and complaining about the people in the movie not running away at the beginning act like they wouldn't do the exact same thing if they were witnessing something their brain can't comprehend. So many of them would freeze up too, I know I would.

  The son is one of the most insufferable characters ever. When I first saw the movie, I was tempted to walk out of the theater just to avoid having to put up with that character any longer. Fortunately, at a certain point, he decided to get out of the way.
