I recently lost my son to cancer. He was only 40. The hole in my heart is huge and yes each time I listen to this song, I cry my eyes out. But the lyrics are exactly what a father feels and thinks.

I’m walking my beautiful daughter down the aisle this Saturday. Marrying a wonderful guy. The furniture is moving out of her room at home tomorrow. I’m in a Macy’s parking lot crying to this song. Where did the years go?<br><br>➡️ EDIT: 5 Years later and I’m walking my OTHER daughter down the aisle this week. Marrying another fine young man. So now I get to do my father/daughter dance to this song and get the feels all over again. 🥲

This brought tears to my eyes, I sure do miss my daughter. This reminds me of my thirty six year old daughter, I raised her up by myself since she was nine months old. I only get to see her every two years she lives in another state. She has always been my best friend and we always support each other. She is doing so well in her career and I am so proud of her. Thank you Michael for making this beautiful song.
