  Most enlightening presentation. &nbsp;I was taken with the similarities between the Roman officials and todays Mint Director, Treasure of the U.S., and the Secretary of the Treasury. &nbsp;Amazing that Rome had these same officials 2,000 years ago.

  Dude, you just helped me a ton! I love creative writing as a hobby, usually historical fiction. And you gave me an idea for a possible story: the life of a Roman coin. Essentially, the journey of a denarius from mint to circulation, each chapter followig a character who handles it (merchant, traveler, etc).

The emperor could tell them to devalue the currency and keep it secret. Interesting politics on how the people got in place in the power structure of running the Roman Mint. Seems it&apos;s the predecessor of how power is maintained today with wealth and politicians.
