Who do you want to hear me react to next music wise? Please post the name and the song rather than a link because often YouTube remove links - Unfortunately, it can’t be anyone on this list … music https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Universal_Music_Group_artists#E-F

Freebird at the Oakland coliseum, one of the most celebrated live performances. The piano, the guitars, Ronnie's voice, the backup vocals, the crowd.... just an enjoyable ride!

Ronnie Van Zant is a genius.
RIP to all who perished that night.
You are still bringing us joy through your music.

Diane if you want to hear that triple guitar attack live then you can't go wrong with their performance of Freebird at the Oakland Coliseum in 1977 and you watch fans that are your grandparents age rocking out to a great song

I grew up in southern Appalachia in the 70s and 80s. Lynyrd Skynyrd was the soundtrack of my childhood. The Ballad of Curtis Loew is another amazingly emotional song.

A common response by most Southerners when someone says Lynyrd Skynyrd is "Free Bird" or "Sweet Home Alabama." A true Southern classic rock band.

It is a crash that never in a million years should've happened. They were having engine problems leading up to it with the same plane, and some of the band members didn't want to take that flight until it was fixed. LOTS of controversy surrounding that whole crash and the aftermath. "Free Bird" Live in Oakland was filmed just a few months before the crash. An optimal, and popular, viewing of them playing Live if you want to see them. Amazing crowd and atmosphere!

As most have also commented, Free Bird is a must. Widely recognized as an anthem of Southern culture and Skynyrd's magnum opus.

No doubt this song is underrated, with the overall message being something that resonates with me and what I strive to be in life.

That Smell, Gimme Three Steps, Sweet Home Alabama, Freebird, Ballad of Curtis Lowe, Tuesday's Gone, to me are all top tier. I love their other songs too, like They Call me the Breeze etc.

As mentioned the band named themselves as a joke after their gym teacher Leonard Skinner, who often put them in detention. It took him years to realize the connection and once he did he was not happy, but he eventually came to appreciate it and even became friends with the band. Later in life after he retired from teaching he opened up a bar and Skynyrd stopped by once and played .
