8 minutes late? In Canada, that would be considered ahead of schedule. In Germany, it would be considered science fiction.

This is why Indonesia has decided to adapt Chinese HSR in our country using the Fuxing 400AF at 350 km/h. I believe that we will have extensive HSR network using Chinese based technology in our big islands. Plans are discussed for Trans Borneo HSR from Brunei to East Kalimantan stour new capital via Sarawak and Sabah. A completion of the trans Java South and North line network ( total length 1650 km ) and Trans Sumatra HSR. Completion up to 2050 in stages.

Wait what? you can order food from restaurants and they deliver it to the train? That's mind blowing.

I did this very same trip not long ago with the previous generation of trains with the oval seats in business class… it was just an amazing travel. My Chinese skill is poor and the personnel in business class did not speak English but were very friendly and pamper me. I’d definitely choose HST over planes anytime in China, so much more comfortable and convenient !

The only service that can compete in France is the Business Premier on the Eurostar, the rest is just plane crap ! I wish the SNCF people would take the train in China to understand how bad the service they’ve giving…

One thing I love the most is that you can literally order anything from any restaurant as long as your train will pass the station in which they're located. There's a 20-minute lead time requirement and the railway system tells you when you will arrive at that station so you can plan ahead.
Just imagine getting to the train station on Uber, going through security like a breeze (no ticket no QR codes required, just scan your citizen ID at the little gate), playing some game or watch a show for the first 30 minutes of the ride, having some Mcdonald fried chicken and a sundae (yes Mcdonald in China has fried chicken and they're better than crack), and a boba tea delivered right to your seat, popping on a movie and enjoy, and next time you look up from your tablet, you're there. And everything combined will cost less than $100.

The purple high-speed train in the second row at the beginning of the video is painted to commemorate the Hangzhou Asian Games. There is only one train so it is very rare。。。

It also saves tremendous money, Imagine taking this train from Shanghai to Tibet for a redeye train ride, you chill and have internet and just play games or watch videos. you sleep comfortably with noise canelling headset, when you wake up the 2nd day, you go straight to best tourism destinations. what a life.
