All of those horrible thoughts and horrifying things that have happened to guts slowly getting out.
All of those traumas broken friendships betrayals.
Being used.
Being hipnotized by the fight and not knowing what you are doing.
Broken dreams.
Shards of hope destroyed and then refound.
Losing everything you had.
Having a sword as your only friend.
Being cursed for life.
Not knowing who and what you have become.
Keep on living for hate.
Not eating and sleeping solely for hate and revenge and then knowing all of it was wrong.
All of this compells into one entity:
The beast of darkness.

The original in a heartbeat embodied fear, running running for your life, this embodies world-burning HATRED.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is the most traumatized human being in fiction.

The most important life lesson I learned from Berserk. Hatred helps you survive, but love is what makes life worth living once the hatred has passed. That and never give up, no matter how dark things get.

This is small but I have a visual disability. So I like to close one eye so I can focus on what I'm doing. So I think it's cool that guts closes his eye when he fights.
