My best day of the weekend, was to watch the gardening programs on TV and also to listen to a beautiful classical music presented by Alan. I am now 77 and so disappointed that Sunday mornings only have, cooking, cooking and more cooking.I have enjoyed All of Allan’s TV shows. Oh! For our yesterday years.

I grew up watching Percy Thrower on BBC2 before moving to the US in 1982. I lost touch with GW for decades before discovering it again less than ten years ago. I didn’t know Alan until I saw Ground Force on TV. Even though I can’t grow most UK plants (Florida heat), I still love watching UK gardening shows. An expat in Ft Lauderdale.

I already thought my RHS membership was ridiculously good value, and have admired the research, information and cultural outreach that it supports (leaving aside providing beautiful places to go across the country) - but then we get this series on top. Tea & Cake for the soul.

Love Alan's saying that if you tend a patch of land you've paid rent for it ❤
