I love how he over-emphasizes that out-speeding Larry's Staraptor is so important. XD

There's a missing segment in 4:17 where Michael goes over the reasoning against Decidueye. Basically, Decidueye is only offensively strong against Psychic, as Ghost doesn't resist Psychic, but also Rowlet and Dartrix are both Flying type instead of Ghost, which is a problem with Brock (and Surge).

Gen 1: Blastoise stuck as single type
Gen 2: No dual type starters at all (Typhlosion gets Ghost only in Hisui)
Gen 3: Sceptile stuck as single type (except for Mega)
Gen 4: Starters are all dual type
Gen 5: Only Emboar is dual type (Samurott only gets Dark in Hisui)
Gen 6 and 7: Starters are all dual type
Gen 8: No dual type starters at all
Gen 9: Starters are all dual type

That gives us 10 fully evolved starters that aren't dual typed (7 if you include Hisuian Typhlosion, Mega Sceptile, and Hisuian Samurott)

Funnily enough, I went real quick through the Black and white games with Serperior and Zoroark, so I couldn't really be bothered with Tepig.

9:22 i spent a minute doing the calculations and assuming monferno doesn't have a nature that boosts it's offense or any evs, a mach punch from monferno ko's in 4 attacks, with an 18.9% chance for it to ko in 5 attacks

Fun fact, swampert not including megas, has the highest bst of any starter pokemon, having 5 more points of base stat total more than their respectable counter parts sceptile and blaziken

Yeah Emboar got Gamefreak Privilege, and it still does now that it has a Mega in ZA.
Samurott eventually got the Dark Type Hisuian form, but Serperior has been left in the dust, despite being the fan favorite! Although, it did get a soft buff in Gen 9 due to Tera Blast giving it WAY stronger type coverage than Hidden power ever did, giving it a nice compliment to Contrary + Leaf Storm.
