The colors of the SNES was exceptional. I bought mine the day the price dropped from $179.99 to $149.99 picked up Contra 3 and Gradius 3 and boy oh boy did it look Awesome. Had it hooked up to my sterio with plenty of bass. People today see it but we lived it. Good job 👍

I had the SNES, absolutely loved it. Fave games, super tennis, madden, mario kart. And to add i was the best at all of them 💪🏻

Such an awesome console, loved my Genesis but there was enough to set both consoles apart for sure.

Thank you for another informative video dude! All this time I thought PC Engine was something ported over from PC or DOC games or something. Never knew it was a stand alone console. Very cool!

I was lucky enough to own both systems as a teenager, SNES & mega drive (amongst others).
I purchased the SNES really as Street fighter 2 was coming out (yes I had a Pal system and through the use of a converter imported an American square cartridge of SF2).
Last game I really played on my SNES was Chrono Trigger only a couple of years ago .

In my opinion the Playstation control got its inspiration from Nintendo but PS perfected it. The D pad and "grips" to hold onto are much appreciated improvements.

Never owned the SNES, but I did own the two competitors you mentioned, the Genesis and TG-16. I did have a friend with the SNES though, who also had a console copier. Renting and copying games was the way to get a large collection then.

Great Vid. But Why The Over-Sexualized Thumbnail?

No other console showed me how angry a 10 year old hyperactive Mexican boy jacked up on sugar can be. Cartridges and controllers were given the same thrown-against-brick-wall treatment when things didn't go his way.

...or if the game would consistently glitch up with every power on no matter how the cart was inserted and/or blown into.
Super Mario All-Stars (1985) was the worst offender out of his entire library of games.
