  Excellent. Thanks for your hard work. My wife and I visited Tel Lachish last October and spent some time visiting with Prof. Garfinkel. It was one of the highlights of our trip.

  I was delighted to learn that my old colleague and friend, Gordon Wenham, was, not for the first time, ahead of the game on this one. The determination of modern scholars to make the entire biblical text post-exilic is irrational and, ironically, uncritical.

  I’ve been reading Josephus and was surprised to read he claimed it had been 2,000 years since Moses had led the Jews out of Egypt. Scholars dismiss Josephus because in another section of his work he’s off by 20 years. However, my best guess is the more the stones speak, the more history will be pushed back. Will set academia and the whole Egyptian tourism industry on its ear and I hope to see more of it.

  So much circular reasoning is employed to discredit the biblical texts. EVEN if a word IS in fact from a later date, that doesn&apos;t prove the text was composed at a later date. People could easily update an earlier text with more &quot;modern&quot; words so that the readers/audience could understand it more clearly. Case in point, updating Avaris to Pi-Rameses. Anyway, it&apos;s nice to see the word shalit is in fact old.
