  I love and appreciate my wife. Met her in the Dominican Republic, married her there, and moved there permanently. I&apos;ve been married for over 5 years. I gave my wife control of the wedding. When she was done setting up everything, it cost me not even $3,000. Including the ring. Got married on the beach of the DR with a BBQ small gathering of friends and family. I did well for myself financially, but it showed me the kind of woman I was marrying. She is all about family, God, and me. She&apos;s been consistent in her vows and promises. Adding great value to my life and I add value to hers.

  My wedding and engagement band together were like $20. We&apos;ve been married for 14 years and the ring still looks fine.

  I agree with the fact that money and materialistic possessions shouldn&apos;t be your top priority, but just because you wish to spend more time with your partner doesn&apos;t mean you should settle for being a janitor, although there&apos;s nothing wrong with it, career should also be a priority to each and everyone be it a man or a woman, if you&apos;re capable of doing something better, you should probably do it. Sitting at home all day because you wish to spend time with your partner sounds a bit ridiculous considering work life balance is possible
