To sing with such fluidity, such perfection, and such mesmerizing beauty must surely be a divine gift… ✨
Mesmerizing Maria Callas, how blessed we are that you passed through this world.
Your voice, your art, and the mark you left behind will live forever.

May you rest in the light. 🕊️✨

To be in her presence as I was at 16 yrs old in the audience for her farewell tour was similar to this audience reaction but greater if you can imagine. Idolizers in the crowd tossing flowers and screaming like a rock concert. Every hand gesture, every glance was choreographed. Every gesture had a meaning. You know you were part of history and her throat was truly touched by God and given to us for such a short time on earth. Her passion filled you unlike any performance I’ve ever seen.

I have written this before but will again. If MC had only shown up and not sung a note this concert would still be the legend it is. Her body language and unusually long hands (well, fingers) alone are music in and of themselves, and say it all. That she was in stupendous voice and form is the icing on the cake. How fortunate we are that they captured the event on film for posterity.

Magnificence of manner, interpretative powers, and last but not least voice. She was the Queen of Opera.

To find Callas singing live on my phone, purely by chance, is a miracle that thrills my heart: thankyou!

Her middle range was unique, nothing like it in all recorded history and highly unlikely there will ever be again such an intense and dramatic sound. That for me is what puts Maria Callas above all other sopranos.

Magnétique et magnifique présence.... Au vu de la date, une Callas encore en très bonne forme ! L'impératrice du chant, sans conteste et à tt point de vue. Un miracle cette femme ! Merci Mme Callas...
