I'm a 63 yo widower living in a 4 bedroom Brownstone in Manhattan by myself. My 5 kids are grown, have their own families and careers and never once questioned me living solo in a large home. They were raised correctly.

This is one of the first stories I've heard where op stands up for themselves right away. Not struggling with attorneys to try and get somebody evicted from his home. Didn't come home to find somebody had thrown all his stuff in the garbage.
