I remember thinking the wall merge thing was stupid when I watched the trailers. I was so wrong, Link Between Worlds is peak Zelda, and the wall merge is amazing.

launched ALBW two days ago, finished it the next day, and the wall merge is so damn cool and it pushes your brain to actually think and put some reflection into great puzzles and finding cheeses for boss fights (won't spoil either but if you played it you know which boss I'm talking about) and I actually really liked how the entire game was made, an absolute 10/10 for ALBW

Can't believe that the time travel in Oracle of ages got a single line when it is inarguably the best version of the time travel mechanics in the entire series.

I'll be honest, even though ALBW is my favorite game, I didn't expect its gimmick to get top spot. In my experience, it's usually overlooked, which is a damn shame since it's such a good game.

The problem with the Skyward Sword motion controls is that they require patience to use, especially in combat. Enemies stand there holding their defenses at different angles for a reason, giving you time to steady your strikes before attacking. But people just rush to get hits in, not bothering to take the time to make sure they land right, then get frustrated when they don't hit and so become even more impatient, repeat cycle until they complain online.

My favorite gimmic is SS's timeshift stones. How the music changes and the thought of a wetlands that turned into a desert is so cool.

Personally, I thought that Oracle of Ages did time travel even better than Ocarina of Time. It made full use of changing the past to change the present, with notable moments like how Symmetry City is a ruins when you first come across it, then you save it in the past, and it's now a bustling city in the present.
