The fully unlocked Gatherables journal is actually the complete opposite of "not great". You can look up where to go find every single upgrade material in the game. It is actually a god send for people who play the game the way it was intended to be played before watching these kinds of videos.

You can get the lighting sword by going to the area where the dudes that carry it have it and just parry all of them until one of them drops it and pick it up (or have a dog so he can pick it for you)

After freeing Pailune and doing Bluefangs missions, there's one questline that involves the Jackals, and concludes in you fighting a Titan boss. He drops a +1 attack speed +1 critical spear, and I haven't changed weapons since. All speed gears and all critical gears.

The ancient boss who throws fire balls was decent boss. I just used the dodge ability whilst using bow. Took him down pretty quick. The ancient wrath node you get is so good. Highly recomend adding that ability.

Tip for the fire guy boss. There is left from where you start the boss fight a little area where you won't get fire damaged. Problem is that it's closely to the point that the timer starts of leaving the battlefield. So you need to find the sweet pot where it doesn't trigger the timer, but even if you do trigger it then you just start at the begining and just need to go to the left again. The damage you did to him remains , so don't panic of having to start all over.

For the electro mecha sword, you can get it by doing the shield bash disarm attack on the foot soldiers in the camp, you can get a spear too

Bro the lightening sword you get off of the boss, you can also get it off any of the mechanical electrical soldiers. Bro don't kills the electric snake because there's an unpatched farm with freazing those enemies on the cliffs that's shooting at the electric snake endless. But after you max out your additional characters by freazing those enemies then kill the snake.
