This is one of my favorite pieces of music ever composed, it’s awesome that they performed it during the unique Pyongyang concert with the NY Philharmonic.
May L. Maazel rest in peace.

The girl on the left at 1:55 has precisely the expression of how a Maazel performance used to leave me too.

I was fortunate to have a family while growing up in the 50s that loved this piece of art. I loved it even at age six and still do to this day as I'm seventy three years old. I sit back and close my eyes and so many memories and emotions come to me as if it's surreal.

George Gershwin was a genesis. Can you imagine how much more he would have created if he had lived to an old age ?

One of the great recordings of this place, up there with Levine and Ozawa.

Whoa whoa whoa…
What a polished and breathtakingly beautiful performance!
I could’ve died for those clarinet and all the other solos 🧡🧡🧡

This is a masterful performance of this piece. The trumpet solos were whimsical, bluesy, and smooth - like butter. The trombones and tuna were excellent, too. All were wonderful!
