These videos are great and in my opinion infinitely valuable for driving business to your doors (And again, in my opinion, you deserve and have earned our business)… Jason shares so much of his wisdom in the livestreams but many of us don’t have the time or patience to listen for 2 hours a day… Collecting these pearls and posting them is very much appreciated!

Great video, thanks! The wet blending achieved a similar effect in a much shorter time. As you said, the downside to it is that you dont have as much control as the regular blending technique.

N00b painter question: I just watched your vid on layering basics where you blend gray to red just by using added water to make less-opaque layers and just increase opacity as you glaze layers up, but don’t ever have to actually mix the two colors. When would you use that vs what you do here with the ochre in the layering technique here? The feathering and mixing to smooth the transitions here seems a lot more work. Is it that the ochre is too bright to do effectively?
