I went to a Church of England secondary school, and my RE teacher was atheist. She tried to tell us about the contradictory accounts of the Bible, and how the book of John exposes the story of Jesus as a farce, but most of us had religious upbringings and were fully indoctrinated. I often think of her after I left religion.

In third grade Sunday school they told the story of Christ after crucifixion being placed in a tomb and they rolled a massive rock over the entrance. 3 days later the tomb was open and the body gone. Our teacher asked us who did we think moved that giant stone? I said, “ the same guys who put it there”. I got in trouble for that.
