  HOW ON EARTH COULD CPS BE INVOLVED IN THIS CHILDS LIFE SINCE BIRTH, AND SEEING ALL THE ABUSE AND NEGLECT AND NOT HAVE TAKEN HER OUT OF THAT HOME FROM HELL!!!

  Making "wrong choices" is deciding to smoke pot at a party. Making "wrong choices" is staying out past your kerfew. This is torture and murder and gross neglect.

  Deferred adjudication ain't gonna happen. She needs to never have kids again, lose permanent custody of her remaining children and needs to go to prison.

  What a load of garbage that the mother didn't know her baby girl was physically emotionally and mentally abused. I feel so sad that that poor child lost her life knowing she was lessor than her sister through her mother, her extended family members,, CPS and now the prosecutor..it sickens me greatly.

  That cps worker honestly should be fired and not allowed to work in the field again and sent to prison for a few years. She was so negligent of her mandatory reporter status it&apos;s offensive. She literally could have saved that child with one phone call. She failed the basics of her job. &quot;Keep the child out of harm.&quot; Her not reporting just on the basis of &quot;Hey, this child is in danger.&quot; &nbsp;It reminds me of the Powell case where the CPS should have listened to the grandparents and revoked contact with the children to their father because he was unstable and planning to unalive them. I lived half a mile away from where that took place, and CPS failed there. We need a new system that actually cares for children. CPS clearly don&apos;t. Instead of defunding police, let&apos;s defund CPS, take their grants for other programs that care.<br><br>ETA - It would have been harder for Katrina to get her child back and prove her home was a safe environment, from my experience with CPS. You have to jump through flaming hoops to prove you are a fit parent. They could have cited anything to remove those children. The boyfriend was more than enough reason. &quot;No strange men around children since mother has a problem with unstable home.&quot; I see why Judge Boyd puts hard limitations on &quot;no contact with minors&quot; is to protect the children involved because she&apos;s seen the outcomes too much.
