Liked the vid! Some issues you had apply to many people moving into a semi-furnished house or apartment anywhere, exacerbated in your case by the inability to bring much stuff with you and perhaps unfamiliarity with where to buy things. Tip for others: Always have a knife, fork, spoon and teaspoon, mug and loo paper; a sleeping bag if necessary. You can survive a day or two on sandwiches, convenience food, snacks. Rolled clothes, living room cushions can be temporary pillows. Try and arrange to arrive early in the day so essential shopping can be done, I once moved into a bungalow where the previous owner had removed the lightbulbs!

Get an ozone generator to tackle the smell. Look for 60000mg/h versions and run for 10 min per room. Works very effectively but read the instructions and warnings beforehand
