English is not even Matthew Rhys’ first language. So he is a Welshman speaking English playing a Russian pretending to be an American.

The shock when Mathew starts speaking and you are like why is he faking an accent. Then you google and he is Welsh. I feel like I have been lied to. I am actually questioning what is real. Wow he is a good actor.

Matthew Rhys’ actual personality is such a bizarre departure from the characters I’ve seen him play. Like him as himself is just... wow.

Just the fact they chose Matthew Rhys to play that role. He kills it. I am shocked his dialect is so smooth in The Americans. You can not even tell he is Welch. Holy. This guy deserves many awards for The Americans. That show is just phonemonal. One of the best shows I have ever seen.

Any Owl House fans here? Matthew Rhys is the voice of Philip/Belos.

Keri looks like she could eat Matthew up with a spoon. I don't blame her, he's gorgeous and very, very charismatic.

In season four, I laughed & laughed when Gaad said," I'm in charge of counterintelligence and my secretary married a KGB officer. " A great show and a lovely couple!
