  I read the book. That was one terrifying concept of hell without the Christian stereotypes.

  Makes me think about how profound and even a little frightening the concept of eternity really is. Our understanding of heaven and hell is certainly something worth pondering. In the end, hope and faith in God, our Higher Power, can give us the strength to believe that eternity can be a beautiful and meaningful state of being.<br>Such a thought-provoking and wonderful read!

  I read the book not long after watching this session and found it mind stretching. I appreciated the ideas and imagery about hell and hope to hear more about them, perhaps in another visit by Mr. Peck. This vision of hell is indeed terrifying, painful and revelatory. The suffering and pain of hell took on an incredible complexity that will take a while to process.

  Thank you for his conversation and this wonderful book. The book really questioned my ideas as an LDS member and am now seeking enlightenment through Zoroastrianism.

  I am glad that he talked about the question &quot;Why would we spend so much time learning about faith and hope in this life if it becomes obsolete in the next.&quot; I myself had wondered this so I feel less alone when I know other people have these racing thoughts occupy their minds. I had a conversation with a friend about this and he gave a similar answer to what yall are talking about. Creation, novelty, discovery... an Uncertain future to some degree. These things beg for for faith and hope. Evolution sheds so much light on this, and I am glad I finally accepted evolution this year, it unlocks so many doors, many questions, but also some surprisingly satisfying answers.

  I listened to it on audible 3 or 4 times and it’s a terrifying story but I find somewhat hopeful in the end.

  Eternity is supposed to be a spiral, spiraling forward, out in front of you. So it&apos;s seasonal without repetition.

  I&apos;m so glad you chose to discuss these topics, especially with Terryl Givens, one of my favorite authors and speakers. &nbsp;I can&apos;t wait for the Eternal University, with all the Labs included!! &nbsp;I love to learn and there&apos;s an endless amount to learn, as things continue forward into the eternities, there will always be more to learn and experience. &nbsp;Makes me long to be there right now, however, I still have more of my Life Mission to complete before I can get started on the afterlife, so I must with patience possess my soul , endure, and submit to the will of the Lord and my Heavenly Parents. &nbsp;But when that day comes Oh Happy Day!

  This is a wonderful discussion.<br>Something that I think is good to keep in mind; while we believe that the same sociality that exists here will exist there- we are very limited in knowing much at all about how the bonds of sealings keep us together. Here, in this world, we grow up, move away from home and start our own families. Then our children follow this pattern. We do not reside with our immediate families, at least, not at all times. What we do do is visit with, check in on, care for (when needed), support and love our family. Often, the elderly parents, or an ailing sibling, will come and live with us, or us go stay with them for a time, to care for them. We help each other along the path of life, we give support during trials and sadness, and we celebrate in joyous occasions. <br>Might not the the sealing bond keep us linked?- so that throughout the next parts of the journey, we will be drawn together to likewise assist and help each other along, on our way home?

  Was the god of the book good? Imagine how much worse this would be if there was truely never an end, not just a long long long time of hell, but forever, unceasing, no hope of escape or redemption.
