There has never been, and likely never will be another show like Riverdale. After a relatively grounded and coherent first season, it ever so earnestly descends to the most insane places, trying to one-up itself at every turn. It becomes a trainwreck you just can't look away from, and watching these actors trying to seriously perform these nonsensical scenes is endlessly entertaining in a way no other show could be.

Some people say that Riverdale jumped the shark but we all know they flew past it with a rocket

The greatest way to watch Riverdale, is to watch the first and last episode of each season and trying to guess how they got there.

Riverdale is the first Teen Drama with Anime Power Creep.

What started as a grounded Murder Mystery in a quiet small town like Twin Peaks or True Detective slowly evolved into CW Flash and Supernatural levels of Superpowers, Gods, Demons, Evil Cults, Serial Killers, Conspiracy Theories, Crime Drama, Time Travel, Multiverses, a Meteor crashing into the Earth, and other Soap Opera tropes.

it is honestly so refreshing to watch a thorough analysis of riverdale without the usual snark or deprecation it usually comes with it… it truly is a dumb show but man what a show

Each day we step closer and closer to an implicitly pretentious video on supernatural

Haven't watched the whole video yet but I need to give Riverdale some flowers. I've consumed so much media that I've been able to predict how things end way too often. But Riverdale ALWAYS left my guessing. Sure, it's because the writers didn't know what they were doing, and sure, it didn't told together as a cohesive story. But I was always shocked week over week and honestly, that made me more engaged as someone who's interested in how creative choices get made.

Riverdale is a special show. It's a mess, barely makes any sense at times, and ends with the entire cast dead. It's true art.
