Glad I watched to the end point, I was getting ready to mention that you could connect the sensors to the CerboGX 😄

    Keaten & Kara,
Thanks so much for the kudos you gave me! That's why we all are here.. learn from our experiences and share them with others so they may benefit from them too and save frustration and many times save time AND money!
For instance, I was talking to the TV watching you guys get out of the sand on the last episode. I was saying "you're not in 4WD!! I was watching those rear wheels spin and nothing going on up front LOL. Glad you finally got some advice from your friend. I have a 2017 4WD SRW F350 that I tow my rig with too. It also has lockers. It is a great truck! I souped it up and I get 17+ MPG on flat ground now. Before about 13 MPG average. Had to add about $3700 worth of stuff to my engine to get it though. Still street legal with DPF intact.
I've been trying to leave comment to you that if you're having troubles finding the 4/0 you need for fixing your battery connections, I would suggest you order everything you need from Amazon. I don't know all the in's and out's of writing comments, but it seems like if you include a link, your comment gets dropped. I've done it twice now LOL. What I was wanting to relate was that the 4/0 and the connectors you can easily order from Amazon. You may very well know this. You can easily have them shipped to a nearby Amazon Locker on your way across the country. Only thing I don't know is if you have a crimp tool to handle 4/0 connectors.
Anyway, this time I am only going to give you the words to search for in Amazon that will get you the cable and the connectors you need:
1) TEMCo 4/0 Gauge AWG 10 Ft Black + 10 Ft Red Flexible Pure Copper Made in USA Welding Cable Battery Wire
2) Ancor Marine Grade Tinned Copper Lugs, Size 4/0 AWG; these are excellent connectors to use. Since they are tinned, they interface with other metals such as copper or brass on very good conductivity basis. So, search for these on Amazon and pick quantity that you want.
Regarding the Mopeka Sensors for your water/gray tanks.. My only concern would be having to get into the belly when the batteries die LOL. Too bad they can't operate from a 12VDC feed. Hopefully, as you mentioned Mopeka expects up to 2 years out of the battery. IDK, but my propane tank ones don't last that long here in the AZ heat! If I get a year out of them I am very lucky.

Stay safe on your travels!
Best,
Cliff Bailey
Phx AZ

You are a better man than I. I would have gone and bought a socket to run my drill. No patience for a wrench. LOL

Great videos guys! Can’t wait for the next one. Also, we just purchased DJI mics and gimbal!! We’ve been full time for close to 2 months. Lots of fun. We’ll be dropping a video soon, I promise.

Like 99% of full timers, or tank sensors don’t work either. Great video. I’m disabled but I believe I can add these to our tanks. Thank for the video
Safe travels
Chris and Mel

Great video! Not sure I could have gone through all that for the sensor install. Good luck hope everything works out! ❤

AI had a few words about this as well:
For a Mopeka sensor (like the Mopeka Pro Check Water/Holding Tank sensor), placement and installation on a KZ Durango grey tank require a few very specific steps to ensure the wireless signal and ultrasonic pulse work perfectly.
     1. Prepping the Tank Surface (Crucial for Mopeka)Mopeka sensors rely on a clean, flat contact point to shoot their sonar beam through the plastic.
Scrape the Texture: RV holding tanks often have a slightly textured, pebbled, or rough molded ABS finish. If the plastic where you want to mount the sensor is rough, use a fine-grit sandpaper to gently smooth a small 2x2 inch square patch.
Clean the Area: Wipe the sanded area with isopropyl alcohol to remove all dust, road grime, and plastic release wax.
     2. Positioning and Mounting
Location: Stick to the flat bottom center of the tank, clear of the sloped drain area.
The Collar/Bracket: Mopeka holding tank sensors use a specific plastic mounting collar or double-sided adhesive strip system. Apply the Mopeka sonic grease (coupling gel) generously to the center rubber pad of the sensor before clicking it into the collar. This gel eliminates air gaps between the sensor and the tank bottom. Without it, the sonar signal will fail.
     3. Account for the Enclosed Underbelly (Coroplast)
Because the KZ Durango has an enclosed underbelly, you have to protect the sensor and maintain its wireless Bluetooth connection:
Clearance: Make sure the sensor doesn't directly pinch against a crossmember or the coroplast sheet when the tank fills up and sags slightly. Leave a tiny bit of breathing room.
Signal Interference: The corrugated plastic underbelly itself won't block the Bluetooth signal to your phone or Mopeka gateway, but foil-faced thermal insulation blankets inside the underbelly will block it. If your Durango has the radiant foil insulation layer, make sure it is tucked behind the sensor or cut a small window in the insulation layer directly under the sensor so the wireless signal can escape freely down to the ground and out to your phone.

@saltytrips are good mentors. I’d stay out of Canada crossing to Alaska. Just like Hawaii off limits

Question: Did you use the dielectric grease on the sensors, as well as clean the tanks with any rubbing alcohol? Prepping the surface and using the grease is critical in installation.

I just saw your video... The bottom of the tanks are flat (to a point) - then it starts to slope downward towards the drain outlet. It should be on the bottom center of the tank and 3" to 4" away from where the slope begins to go down towards the drain. This assures that the sensor is laying flat and the echo will travel vertically back to the sensor. If the sensor is not shooting vertically the error would give you an inaccurate or failed readings. If the sensor is in the correct position the tape may have loosened up and the sensor is no longer shooting vertical which may be the case.
