'Long Distance Telephone Call' was the best blues slow burner blues ever recorded. It was otherworldly good, still is, and Muddy's slide work is still unequaled, he played as good as Picasso painted. I'm soon to be 79 and was fortunate enough meet all these good folks.

He was so loved by all who heard him. I was lucky enough to see him with his band at a small college in about ‘73, it was my first Blues concert. It was an auditorium only half full!!! Now that I look back, it hooked me for life! Love ya, Muddy, great smile!

“There’s no way in the world I can feel the same blues the way I used to. When I play in Chicago, I'm playing up-to-date, not the blues I was born with. People should hear the pure blues - the blues we used to have when we had no money."
~ Muddy Waters (1913–1983)

I’m thinkin’ Muddy did a darn
good job with the pure blues
