My neighborhood in Korea has ground traffic lights (literally lights that change color on the sidewalk) so people on their phones don&apos;t have to look up. I also regularly see people watching videos on their phones while walking on hiking trails. Society here completely fails to call out this insane behavior because it&apos;s so normalized.

  I had a South Korean exchange student that lived with me while I was in high school. He would always say “it feels so good to be lazy.” Now I get why he felt that way.
