Why did my man think it was a good idea to hike 30+ kilometers in doc martins after months of planing?

Through all videos you ever uploaded in this series, this is by far the most intense in every way... first of all, thank you for sharing the whole story (others maybe would have left the 2nd part out). And thank you for sharing your emotions, impressions, and also the struggle, anxiety and pain you had to go through... I am thankful, we got you back. A lifetime experience (and nightmare) indeed... Take your time, let it sink in. We can be happy, to live in a more save part of this world. We will be happy and thankful, if you would contine, what you do here: showing us buildings and family history, frozen in time. ❤

Please, don t put your life at risk for a video. Old houses, monasteries, and castles are enough for me.🎉

I think we all need to take a minute to shower IMMENSE praise upon the Guards, the Officers, and MOST of all the INCREDIBLY FAIR JUDGE. Stupid situation like this in America result in people being locked away for many months if not a year or longer in most situations. No one was beaten, no one was intimidated, no one was interrogated harshly or unjustly, and they were even treated incredibly well at the scene. Their passion for the Buran was respected and appreciated, and I absolutely hate they were not confident enough to attempt to probably very easily restore the deleted footage from their devices. (Duh! Next time guys... Remember "deleted" usually just means the entry for that file in the table of contents was removed yet all the written data is typically unmolested and only in need of simply being re-registered in the tables correctly!)

To the JUDGE, you sir have a tremendous amount of my respect. Unfortunately you are the only judge in existence who possesses this, but I hope that makes the genuineness of my respect for you and your rational, fair, and expedient handling the situation all the more fulfilling.

Please let us not lose sight of the fact that not all Russians are bad by any means. In fact we may even have quite a few things to learn from them in many regards. I hope this example here may open a few minds and soften a few potentially overly harsh opinions of a diverse, beautiful, and overwhelmingly good-hearted people!

I AM AMAZED THAT THIS DID NOT GO SO MUCH WORSE! I EXPECTED IT TOO, AND YOU CAN EASILY ARGUE THEY GOT OFF LIGHTER THAN THEY WOULD HAVE ANYWHERE ELSE ON EARTH!!!

AGAIN, MAD RESPECT TO THE JUDGE FIRST, AND SECONDLY TO THE POLITE AND NON-THREATENING/INTIMIDATING GUARDS AND OFFICERS THESE FELLOWS ENCOUNTERED! EXCELLENT BEHAVIOR AND A FANTASTIC DISPLAY OF CIVILITY SIRS!

Holy Geez, You guys really went through an adventure. If the PTSD persists you may want to look into NLP. That experience was eye opening. A good example of how fragile humanity is, how we need compassion, and how the media twists for it's own agenda.
I truly hope that you are feeling like yourself again. We love you Leslie, great work!

I applaud your effort. When you started, you had 40 kms. I checked, and that's 27 miles. I couldn't walk 27 miles. Good thing you are young. Your body will be sore, but you'll bounce back. You are very extraordinary. Thank you for this video.

Leslie, this was an amazing journey, but honestly not worth what you had to go through. You need to promise yourself you’ll never do something like this again. You may not be so lucky next time.

I laughed out loud when you said the guards were not sure if they should use portrait or landscape for the photos! Moments later I was on the edge of my seat ready to hide behind my chair as I did as a kid during a scary movie. What a terrifying situation. The fear of the unknown can eat away at us and mess with our minds. I am glad you were all together in the prison.
Sam was so lucky to have been treated for the Lyme's, but sensible to refuse the injection. How worrying. How vulnerable you must have all felt.
Knowing you put yourself in that situation does give you strength, but does not make the situation any easier to bear.
The best and most vivid experiences in life are often the most arduous and terrifying, and yet oddly exhilarating. This is a genuine once in a lifetime experience you can be proud of surviving.
You can rest on your laurels now, no topping this one!!

Thank you for sharing and may 2025 be filled with less risky, calmer and less arduous adventures for you.
