The biggest reason for popular cars not being sealed in India is the price. Why does Maruti sell more because maximum of their cars are sold for below Rs 10 lakh. If foreign companies also start selling cars below Rs 10 lakh, they will compete with Maruti.

People who are feeling bad, let me remind you that 10 lakh rupees in 2010 would be around 23 lakhs in today’s date adjusted for inflation. And in 2010 the median household income of an average middle class was about 2-4 lakhs per annum. <br>Only the rich had the power to buy the cars he mentioned. So it’s no surprise that the sales figures were low. It wasn’t us Indian’s fault.

Jimny owner here. It is a beautiful car. I love it. Every person who asks about is skeptical because they think a 14/15L car should be bigger, they dont understand the purpose. I feel its size is actually the biggest pro of the car for its use case.

It's such a shame cars like Fiat Linea, Punto, Renault Fluence, Renault Pulse , Chevrolet Aveo, Chevy Cruze, Skoda Yeti the list is long, they did not hit the scales, they were bare minimum and all over the world these cars are so popular...
