2 things to note here:

- According to the CBI report, it was the first Titan Cup match in Hyderabad that came under the scanner. But in the movie, Azhar’s score from the Rajkot match is conveniently used instead. Even the news bulletin clip in the film calls it the ‘Rajkot match,’ deliberately misleading the audience into checking the wrong scorecard

- According to my script, I was supposed to say ‘Neither India nor Sri Lanka toured England in 1997’, since the match in question was actually played in the 1997 Asia Cup. But the movie conveniently shifts it to 1998 - which means even my narration slipped up. Basically, the movie managed to manipulate me too 😂

The only reason there was no outrage over the movie was that nobody cared😂

I just can't believe they got away after making such a movie, the entire Indian Cricket's portrayal was so bad.

My exact thoughts after watching Azhar was " If this was fiction, no one or nothing about Azhar existed in real, I would have loved it. But sadly it's not "

I started following cricket when Azhar was in his final leg (hardly understood rules then). Fixing scandal broke out just months later. Every time India would lose badly, i would suspect fixing. I hated Azhar & co though later developed a soft corner for him because he was a great player who went wayward (i know that was irrational) but then this movie came & i lost all the sympathy i had for him.
