Hi guys! I've already gotten some feedback that people are signing up for Surfshark because of this video, which is fantastic. Please remember to use https://surfshark.com/highlander and enter coupon code HIGHLANDER for four extra months when signing up. This also allows Surfshark to track how many signups come from this video, which has a direct impact on whether they choose to pay for future sponsorship placements. I'm VERY picky about which sponsors I allow on my channel, which means I'm frequently waving goodbye to easy money, but I will ONLY allow a paid sponsor to appear on this channel if it's something I genuinely believe you'll benefit from. I genuinely hope Surfshark opts to pay for more placements, so if this placement actually did benefit you, please let me know in the comments -- it really is appreciated.

Additional notes:

A.) The Tarbat Discovery Center and Portmahomack are an easy drive off the NC500. Just exit at Tain and keep going east; it's about 15 minutes or so, and well worth it.

B.) As you can see, Annabelle now has a much easier life. She gets anything she wants.

C.) This is the first episode where we do a bit of a deep-dive into archaeology. It's a subject which I thoroughly enjoy, and I'm curious if you like it as well.

D.) The Hilton of Cadboll Stone is free to visit. If you're in Portmahomack already to visit the museum, it's a very short drive to see the stone.

E.) For those of you who notice that I always release on a Friday night...next Friday is Halloween. ;)

Just want to say that, as a Scot...I really appreciate how much you care for our country and I also appreciate how respectful you are with which sponsors you're willing to accept. I normally quickly skip through sponsor reads, but I thought you were so respectful with how you read it that I sat through the entire thing. Also...on another note...my university degree was in Celtic Civilisation so love the historical tours :)

Also, this video made me want to get back into my historical research and go visit this place. I love our history, brutal as it has been at times...but then where in the world does one find a bloodless history?

Now thats how you get sponsored and you advertise, not for a cash grab and not for wasting the viewers time, you were incredibly geniune and said what we all think when we encounter ads, and you advertised something that could truly be of assistance, and oh my greatness the way you pour your soul and heart into your videos with all the editing and commentary is really immaculate, i really love watching your videos, and this was a great showcase of scottish history and heritage, i would suggest going to a cathedral in scotland next time, and love listening to you when you say you have worked to your 40s to reach your dream life and how it was all worth it really gives me extra moral boost and will , i am 20 , i have many dreams, i hope i achieve them , at times i really feel like i am at a dead end, but i am not gonna give up yet untill i have tryed all options

American here, I live in Tennessee where many people trace their roots back to Scotland. When families from Scotland came into the eastern Tennessee area it reminded them so much of the Highlands. Thank you Scotland and Ireland for bringing your music and folk songs to America which laid the foundations of Bluegrass and Country Music.😊

Thank you for taking us along on another magical journey! I also appreciate you sharing a little bit of Annabelle story (without going into details. I also did not want to feel my blood boiling. I have no patience with anyone who ill treats an animal, child or any other vulnerable adult.) She is a beautiful cat and it is good to know that she is in a home now where she will be forever loved and spoiled. Congratulations as well on your paid sponsor. Well done!

I loved the tour with Willie. I could spend all day listening and learning from him.

Also, your personal journey is amazing and gives me hope. I too come from an abused childhood that has left very deep wounds. I've been making my way through your videos from the first, so I can follow your story. Your videos have so encouraged me. I have an appointment to see a counselor for the first time, after keeping it buried for 49 years.

Our ancestors speak to us through time, just as we must speak to our descendants. What story will we leave them? You're doing that friend. Grateful for your work.
