  The biggest message almost all of us need to remember… we are not our government(s). &nbsp;Governments are impersonal machines. &nbsp;If you want to know a country, get to know its people, that’s the heart.   Our flags wave with the last breath of every soldier who died to give us freedom. Im so glad you had a great experience in America! I would say 80 to 90% of America is what you experienced on a daily basis. We are generally this friendly.

  I emigrated from the UK to the USA 26 years ago, and what I love most is the friendliness of the people. The US is an amazing country and you should not judge it by what the media tell you.

  I’m an introvert and try not to interact with too many people because it wears me out. But if I am out and about, I do naturally chat with strangers and enjoy it very much; I just have to be careful not to over do it. I do love meeting people from other countries and finding out about them.

  My mom used to say a stranger is just a friend you haven&apos;t met yet. It doesn&apos;t apply to every case but there certainly are worse ways to view things.
