  I&apos;ve actually gone off football now entirely. I remember as a kid watching a soon-to-be bankrupt Chelsea win the lottery and then City just a couple years later. And this happened just as Jol had those 2 5th place finishes with us (2005)<br><br>An already competitive league with clubs that had success just at the right time (United, Liverpool) was suddenly ten times as hard to compete in. A club with zero owner investment, who relied entirely on what happened on the pitch to organically grow, suddenly was part of a league where 2 teams won an entirely random lottery. <br><br>Unlike other clubs it didn&apos;t even matter if they had bad seasons, or if their big signings didn&apos;t make an impact,. Getting them off the wage bill wasn&apos;t a factor and they could rot on the bench or be sold on at a loss. They could throw any amount of money around repeatedly until it clicked -- regardless of what was happening on the pitch. An unsuccessful window and mid table finishes meant nothing because the following year they could afford to do it all again. How do you even compete with that? It made a mockery of the whole thing. <br><br>Imagine a reality where Chelsea and then City didn&apos;t hoover up a bulk of the domestic trophies. A reality where 2 CL spots were filled most years and if we hadn&apos;t lost out on one of our most important requirements to grow financially but also reputation (CL qualification). I realized how ridiculous it was even back then, and over time I&apos;ve just become apathetic to it to the point I don&apos;t even know when we&apos;re playing

  Remember year when redknapp came 4th when Chelsea won champs league. If Man City hadn’t been there we could have started champs league the next season with modric Bale and hazard. 😮

  It’s crazy to think that Tottenham climb the success ladder that every football supporter would respect and point to as that’s how you evolve and grow your club through a slow process. Then you have Man city who have from my calculation have skipped a decade of growth getting to where they are by cooking the books. The crazy part is how Tottenham are treated by the commentators and rival supporters vs how they praise man city on how good they are on and off the pitch.I mean just look how we were treated this transfer window. 17 Europe appearances out of 20 the past two decades shows we are deserving of being a top 6 club.

  City should have all their titles during the period in question stripped but definitely not awarded to the runners up as they did not win on the pitch. Also a huge fine points deduction or a possible relegation and if the logistics of it is possible for somebody to work out compensation should be paid to other clubs. throw the book at them not a slap on the wrist.

  Chelsea should be stripped as well then even though they self reported. They still got players which they would not have and those players helped them win titles as well. As they were not stripped, City will not be either.

  100% can blame city for the windows we didn&apos;t spend money, if we had been earning CL money they almost certainly wouldn&apos;t have happened. &nbsp;Very feasible that things would be very different and Harry might still be here (Kane, not Redknapp).
