Country singer Dolly Parton originally, wrote "I Wil Always Love You" in 73' and it was released in 74.' The song was a commercial success for Dolly and became #1 on Billboard Hot 100, for a record breaking 14 weeks. The song was a success 2 times, 1st in 74' then a 2nd time in 82' where she re-recorded it, for 'The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas', soundtrack. Later, in 92 Whitney Houston would record the song for 'The Body Guard', starring Kevin Costner and herself. Lynda Ronstadt also, did a cover version in 75'.When Whitney did her remake of the song, it was an unprecedented success which sold 24 million copies, worldwide and spent 14 weeks at #1 on Billboard Hot 100 and won Grammy Awards for record of the year and best pop vocal performance. They say Whitney had a voice that was angelic, whatever that sounds like, all I know is she was one of the Greatest singers of our time. Whitney is truly missed and never forgotten. Angel voice. 😇

Whitney started out as a model. Her mother, Cissy Houston, and her first cousin, Dionne Warwick were famous singers.
