That lathe mill press combo is an absolute unit! Dang! And watching that spacer get made in such an applicable situation was the coolest thing ever. Nice work man

That’s a shame. There were a lot of clues that they’d been running that thing hot for a long time. And they were running it on straight water and you can see the electrolysis that was eating up the water pump housing and ate away those freeze plugs. Anyway, hopefully just a gasket and the head is ok. Great channel, really enjoying your content, it’s right up my street 👍

The original spacer for the fan was probably plastic so what you've done is a great improvement, shame it needs some more work but the good thing is it will be another film for us.👍

Impressive work on your from your part. Just wanted to give you a heads up on the fan you are running there. I believe you should have a fan that pushes the hot air out of the engine room in this type of machine. I have a similar machine, and there it blows the air out through the radiators.

Great vid, I was going to say at the end when you turned it over you could hear a slight change in engine speed just before it fired. That caught my attention which makes perfect sense! Hopefully you can get parts and it's only the head gasket and not more damage. 🤞

Had similar issues with the fuel  filter on my used Komatsu pc25. Ended up draining the diesel tank and cleaning it with hot water, detergent and power washer (remove the fuel level sensor first). It had about 2cm of black sludge at the bottom of the tank which was a kind of bacterial growth which forms because modern deisel has no sulfer added to it.
