I’m English and when I was in high school in the third year ( ninth grade I think ) an American lad called Jason started there with us. Our teacher appointed me to show him round and we became friends. His Dad was a Master Sergeant in the USAF at Lakenheath, but he came to live with his Mum where I am. My parents took us to the Lakenheath air show where we met up with his Dad. His Dad got us to meet the SR-71 pilots after they had done their bit in the show, and they signed my souvenir booklet. Then we got to see where the pilots got ready and a guy showed us around the place where the suits were filled with air and tested for leaks. It was awesome. The funny thing was the pilots were quite short, which a I suppose makes sense, but the guy that got them ready was about seven foot. It was a fantastic experience that I’ll never forget. 😊❤

You can't have an aircraft as great as the SR-71, decommission it, and not have anything ready to replace it.

I could see it working with the F47 and drones . They are going to be made to work in tandem especially with highly defended airspace
