  As a Hungarian, I refuse to believe that he actually enjoys Budapest this much :D But still, it's nice to see someone being so positive and appreciative about my culture and my country

  Lángos has no sausage or salami on it. For decades I ate it as god meant it: with lots of garlic. On rare occasions - when I had more money burning my pocket - I had one with grated cheese and sour cream. Source: I am Hungarian. I was born in Budapest, always lived here, and presumably my cadaver will be tossed in a ditch somewhere in Budapest.

  As a german i can see where hungary was one empire with austria for quite a while xD<br>we have some very similar foods here. and also i don&apos;t think that was cottage cheese... it&apos;s probably topfen or quark but often translated into cottage cheese, which is normally that cheese with the small little cernels and absolutely NOT the same as quark/topfen.

  I swear after this trip he&apos;s gonna have to diet for at least 2 weeks to get back to normal shape again... this is the Hungary effect! Food is our love language and we also stuff our guests with food... 😂
