I don't understand what makes people think theories are general knowledge. the big bang is a theory. why assume it happened? like other theories

But the Universe is expanding, the Great Wall may have been smaller during the earlier periods of the universe. Because of this expansion, without being able to travel faster than the speed of light or have a way of short-cutting distances, there is a point at which even travelling at 99.999999999999999999% the speed of light, we would be able to reach! At present the furthest we would be able to travel would be the Andromeda galaxy.
