In my opinion, that fight between Kenshin and Saito should have been much higher on the list! Just for the sheer ferocity it ends up becoming at the end! I get goosebumps every time I see it!

You guys missed one of the most hype moments not only in this anime but on anime as a whole in that era- it was when Sejuro Hiko steps in from nowhere to block the massive sword of Fuji that Yahiko is willing to tank with his eyes closed because he believes Kenshin gave him his word and will save him no matter what.

That moment was pure tears and hype.

One moment I really like is in the first episode when Kenshin saves Kaoru from Gohei Hiruma and his gang, explaining that he is the real Battousai and defeating everyone there.

My only regret concerning RK 1996 was that they never got around to doing the Jinchu arc. Here's hoping the reboot won't drop the ball on that one.

Kenshin vs Saito should be way hire. It's my favorite fight in any anime. Not only did it show him slowly becoming Battosai again to the point where only someone else from the Bakumatsu was able to stop them, but it showed the desperateness of survival in war where Saito loses his sword so he uses his belt to disarm Kenshin and wrap his jacket around his neck to try and break it and Kenshin is able to use his scabbard to get free. They continue to go after each other with one final blow to end the match, Kenshin with just his scabbard and Saito with his fists.

You also didn't mention when he came to save Kaoru at the dojo in the beginning and he makes the speech about how swords are for killing, learning swordsmanship is learning to kill, but he likes Kaoru's naive idea that the sword can save people and hope it becomes the new truth.

I don't think the OVA scene should have been in the list, but the speech Hiko gives Kenshin when he leaves is the best. You wish you protect people with murder? You'll slaughter legions so a few can live.

I never clicked on a video so fast. Good stuff. I think the original Rurouni Kenshin anime is so great that it's hard to limit your favorite moments to just 10.
