I don't get it, you are a humble man, you take on anything that has an, "Electronic Pluse!" Thorough in your diagnosis, you pursue every avenue when it comes to your way of analogy, out of all your videos, you've conceded defeat like 2 maybe 3 times,( Even then, odds were already against you, only you didn't know it until you tested your theories, components, and voltages, doing all you could with the exception of just replacing the device you were trying to fix) and yet, only 41,000 subs....ALOT of viewers are truly missing out on this channel!!! Thank you for all you do!

thank you a lot! I have been trying to figure out how to fix my Kenwood Chef...After seing you looking everywhere and end up ont he resistor. |I check mine and dang! spot on! just need to buy new ones and remplace. Happy to see my machine not going to trash! You just made a new suscriber!

After watching this amazing bit of detective work I had no choice but to subscribe to your channel. I became a ham radio operator at age 12 in 1953 and have tinkered with electronics ever since. I have never seen a resistor go bad without showing discoloration or outright burning. You were right there at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2NvuFfYN6M&t=3000">50:00</a> when you noticed the board and motor jump as you touched the leg of that resistor. That is what it takes to be an excellent diagnostician. Nice one. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to watching many more.

I had the exact same problem. R10 (470kohms) was open circuit. If I touched it, the motor would briefly jump into action. Thanks for the help. Super video.

You frightened me! About five years ago I bought that motor and controller unit, to repair/upgrade to our then 36-year-old Kenwood Chef (originally a wedding present). it hasn't yet failed, but if they're going to it'll be during the pre-Christmas cooking. <br><br>I am so glad it was something ridiculously odd, rather than a "they all do that, sir!" common failure mode.<br><br>Thanks for persevering. I'm off to check I have 500k resistors in stock, just in case! :-)
