Pile #2: This couldn't be more accurate. Aging is a huge factor in my situation with this person. Our connection goes back 44 years and we are both very old ... he more than I because he is much older. I didn't wait around for this person but he was always there, the feelings of love never ever left me, but we only reconnected recently. He's ghosted me again, as he's always done throughout the time I've known him, but this time I'm not very concerned about it because it's just too little, too late. I'm 60, he's 74. Neither of us would uproot ourselves from our respective countries at this point. I know I won't! It's sad because it took me 35 years of those 44 to get over this person, and it took him 39 years to break his silence. Really sad, but I'm used to the grief and have made peace with myself over it. He can come back or not, it doesn't matter much anymore.

Wow ❤ pile 2. Definitely resonates. Life has been relentless in our attempt to try and start something.. it creates a lot of fear in each of us as we hardly had time together.. our self limiting beliefs activated our shadows and he ghosted me. I've been messaging him and sharing some insights and also opened up and shared my feelings that I hadn't expressed and explained that I think we both have just been craving the intimacy we haven't been able to share. So I took the liberty of opening up and being vulnerable with him. I love this man. I hope he comes around.
